Cheryl A. Clarke Profile
Cheryl A. Clarke has 20 years of professional fundraising experience. She works with a wide range of nonprofit organizations, from large institutions to small, grassroots agencies. She is also a much in demand keynote speaker and workshop trainer. Before establishing her consulting business, Cheryl held senior development positions at the University of San Francisco School of Law, the University of California San Francisco, and the Marine Mammal Center.
Prior to making a career transition to the nonprofit sector, Cheryl practiced law in the areas of business and real estate transactions. She discovered her passion for the nonprofit field while serving as a board member, and then president, of Young Audiences of the Bay Area. Since then, Cheryl has served on several boards of directors, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Golden Gate Chapter, the Development Executive's Roundtable and Westminster Presbyterian Church. She is a member of a giving circle, Caridad Partners.
Cheryl received her Bachelor of Science of Journalism from Northwestern University and her law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. She is a duly registered fundraising counsel with the California Office of Attorney General Registry of Charitable Trusts.
